Coming in here I get to be active and move around and that engages me a lot more. Also, it’s a full body exercise so you’re doing all of your muscles at once instead of having to isolate the different parts of your body. So you’re developing your arms, pulling yourself up the wall, pushing yourself up with your legs. When you’ve been working on something that you haven’t been able to finish for a long time finally making it to the top of that climb that’s been challenging and you’ve been putting a lot of effort into is just an elated feeling. It’s like an hour to an hour and a half long class where we teach you everything from putting on your harness to how to tie the knot that’s used in climbing. And then also how to belay. After that you can start climbing with a friend Then just keep coming in and then you can take the other classes we offer through the adventure program. Monday through Friday we are open from 4 to 10 p.m. Saturday and Sunday we’re open from 1 to 5 p.m.
