How to contact the Oregon Transportation Commission


How to contact the Oregon Transportation Commission. Have you ever wondered how decisions are made about transportation projects that impact your life? How does the government decide where to put a road or a bridge? You can make sure that your opinions are heard and considered. The Oregon Transportation Commission is responsible for making decisions about our transportation system. With the input of cities, counties, businesses and people like you, …they make decisions on all sorts of transportation issues. They want to hear from you. You can participate in Oregon
Transportation Commission meetings. Attend in person or write to the
Commission and share your opinion. Visit the Oregon Department of
Transportation website, www.oregon.gov/ODOT. Click on Get Involved and then click on Oregon Transportation Commission. You’ll find a list of meeting dates and locations, and information on how to participate in a meeting. You can request an accommodation
like an ASL interpreter. If you need an accommodation please let us know at least three days in advance so we can make arrangements. You’ll also find an online form that you
can use to share your opinion. Here are some tips – If you’re commenting about a specific thing such as a road or a bus line, please be sure to say where it is. For example, I’m commenting about the bus from Salem to Bend. Be sure to include your name and email
address if you want someone to write you back. Please be respectful. Members of the
Commission are citizens just like you. They volunteer their time to make
Oregon’s transportation system better for everyone. When you fill out the form and submit it someone will read it within a few days. They’ll share it with the Commission. The Commission takes your comment and… other people’s comments into
