How to Kill Rats with WeatherBlox Rodent Bait ePestSolutions DIY Pest Control

Hi, Im Lynn Hitt, President of ePestSolutions.
Id like to talk to you about a little bit about rodent control programs. One of the
best bait blocks on the marketits been on the market for over 20 years and still
widely used by professionals around the countryis the Talon WeatheBlok XT. The active ingredient
is brodifacoum. Its an anti-coagulant so it does have an antidote of vitamin K. Relatively
small chance of any secondary poisoning after the rats are dead.
Considering a rat program, you want to use for your baiting exterior or interior, a tamper-resistant
box. Directions call for five to 22 blocks per station. Youll load it on these little
rods right here. Holes cut in the middle of them and it keeps the rats from taking the
bait from the station. The box can be locked and opened with a key
so kids or non-targets could not get into the box. You want to place where the openings
to the box next to a horizontal or vertical structure, the rats are always moving next
to an edge. They cant see very well so they use their vibration of their whiskers
to find their way around and they leave trails. A lot of times, their entry points are exit
points. They leave rub marks from their body (inaudible) placements.
Placements for rats are done at 15 to 20 feet intervals depending on the population they
may have. You want to check the box periodically over the first 7-10 days to make sure you
continue to have fresh bait in there because if theres a large rodent population, theyll
eat a lot of bait in a very small amount of time until you start getting control of the
population. For mice, theres a smaller bait station.
Its actually one block per station. These are to be put in 10-12 feet intervals. You
want to put them around any kind of entry point from inside to outside and along the
walls where mice are known to run. Again, one block per station and you want to check
the stations periodically over the first 7-10 days just to make sure you keep ample amounts
of bait. For these and other tips or to order your
