Get creative with your decorating tips! Make
edible doilies using various tip shapes to cut designs from fondant. Round tips create
an eyelet design, while petal tips give a pretty teardrop look. One day in advance, roll out 8 oz fondant
that has been mixed with ½ tsp gum-tex. Use fondant roller with pink guide rings to roll
out fondant 1/16 in. thick. Use scalloped side of “A” size round cut-out
to cut one shape for each treat. Use tip 3 to cut out little holes along the
edge in groups of three. If the cut-out doesn’t come out, you can remove it using a pin.
Next, use tip 12 to cut a hole in the center. Then use tip 102 to cut out a row of tear
drop shapes, have the narrow end point towards the hole in the center. Next cut a row of
tip 3 circles, then another row of tip 102. It looks like something that would have taken all day, when it’s really quite simple!
