INDEPENDENT LENS | Rodents of Unusual Size | Trailer | PBS


(tense music) – [Man] These animals
came out like an invasion. – [Narrator] In Louisiana,
millions of strange beasts are crawling out of the swamps. – Hurricane Katrina didn’t get
rid of ’em. – [Narrator] Wreaking havoc
on this fishing community. – [Man] When I look out now,
it looks like a disaster. – [Narrator] The only thing
left to do is fight back. (energetic rock music) – Good ol’ rat for dinner! – [Hunter] We usually
average 150 to 200 a day. – [Intense Man] The war is not
over. – [Man] We still here, we ain’t
leavin’. – [Narrator] Rodents of Unusual

  1. Nutrias have their niche in the ecological system. Why is killing the only solution? We all need to evolve beyond the need to murder animals for whatever reason. Some people even eat roadkill…disgusting.
