Mother moose & 2 babies stealing apples from a cooler, Anchorage, Alaska

This is what happens when you leave a bucket of apples on your porch in Anchorage, Alaska. I guess I’m not making applesauce this weekend. I mean, I’m totally in the city. I’ve got neighbors. (foot clomping noises) neighbors all around but it’s a momma moose and two babies. (moose stomping) I don’t dare open my front door right now. As you can see, I just cracked open my window so if mom gets mad at me, I can just duck inside. This is pretty amazing. (sound of moose feet, clomping on wood) I was just hanging out on the couch, watching TV. And I kept hearing this “thunk, thunk, thunk” noise. Coming from the porch. The dogs started barking. I got freaked out. I looked out the side window and this is way better than watching TV. They’re not quite sure what to think of me. If they take a step toward me and I’m uncomfortable, I can just dart inside quick. (loud sound of a car driving by) Alright, I’ll leave them alone.

  1. I enjoyed this video, thank you for videoing it. When in the state of Maine I came across the path of a very large moose . It was then I had a true understanding of just how large they can be. I have been enjoying peeking at your past videos. I do thank you.

  2. Your bringing back memories for me as a child. I lived in Anchorage for 2 years and loved it! I remember the caribou and moose coming into our neighborhood 😊. Thanks for sharing!!

Moose must have great noses !
It's too bad there's no way to tell the meese that you're not a threat, like some grunt or call….
