THE WHITE HOUSE SAYS THE PRESIDENT WANTS TO KNOW MORE ABOUT HOW THE PLANT WILL AFFECT THE LOCAL ECONOMY. JON DELANO HAS A PREVIEW OF THE PRESIDENT’S VISIT. Reporter: PRESIDENT TRUMP RETURNS TO PITTSBURGH TUESDAY, HIS FIRST VISIT SINCE HE PAID RESPECTS AFTER THE HORRIFIC SHOOTING AT TREE OF LIFE LAST OCTOBER. THIS VISIT WILL BE A HAPPIER OCCASION, A CHANCE TO FOCUS ON ENERGY AND JOBS AT THE SHELL PLANT NOW UNDER CONSTRUCTION ALONG THE OHIO RIVER IN BEAVER COUNTY. HE WILL TAKE A LOOK I THINK AT SOME OF THE CONSTRUCTION PROGRESS BEING MADE AND THEN HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO SPEAK TO A MIX OF BOTH THE CRAFT WORKERS WHO ARE IN THE FIELD NOW BUILDING THE PLANT AND THE WORKERS THAT WE’RE HIRING LATER ON TO RUN THE PLANT. THE TRIP HAS BEEN BILLED AS NONPOLITICAL, BUT IN THIS REGION PRESIDENT TRUMP’S SUPPORT FOR FOSSIL FUELS LIKE NATURAL GAS HELPED HIM TO WIN ALL BUT ONE COUNTY IN WESTERN PENNSYLVANIA IN 2016.
