What Is Checked in a Rodent Inspection – Houston Richmond TX

– Hello, this is Darrell
with BUGCO Pest Control, and today we’re going to be
talking about rats and mice. So, with any rodent inspection, we’re going to want to check
the exterior of the home, see where any potential entry points are, anywhere from the AC and the
AC lines going into the home, to the eaves, just under the roofline, attic spaces, and as well as garage. Your front door, window seals, and any additional openings, such as the weep holes on
the exterior of your home. These are all crucial points. Some things to note, especially with rodents, is foliage. If you have trees, have any trees touching the roofline or vines touching the house, these are all conditions
that are going to aid rodents in getting into your home. Other things to consider are not only your property, but the properties on each side of you, adjacent to you, behind you. Or if you live near ponds, parks, these are all places
where you have no control over the environmental conditions. So while your house could be sealed off, and the yard not be a
harbored site for rodents, the neighbor to the left or right of you could have had a tree
cut down the year prior, never cleaned up the mess, and now it’s a breeding site for rodents. This is just a for instance. If you have ponds, lakes, streams nearby, any fields, these are all areas in which
they are going to breed and then they are going
to come looking for food, water, and shelter in your residence. So for rodents in general, we’re going to want to of
course, inspect the home, ensure that it’s sealed up properly, preventing them from getting in. So there’s a variety of
factors that go into that. That’s when a BUGCO Pest
Control technician will come in, inspect your home, provide you what’s known as
an an exclusion proposal, or a proposal to seal
or patch certain areas that may be prone to rodent entry. BUGCO Pest Control does
offer a variety of methods to help reduce the numbers
on the exterior of the home. Should you have any additional questions about those services, you could always give us a call, email us, or check out our website. Thanks.
